Pune, May 19: The Rotary Club of Pune Lokmanyanagar from the Rotary International District 3131 honoured the outstanding social work and professional excellence.
Varsha Kale, who has been relentlessly working for the problems of Bar Girls in Mumbai and Uday Jagtap who has been doing some outstanding work for the youth in Naxal affected areas of the state were presented with the ‘Asamanya Karya Gaurav’ award. Whereas, Tushar Joshi was awarded with the ‘Vocational Excellence Award’ for his noteworthy work in the field of Public Relations.
Ravi Dhotre, DGN, Rotary International District 3131 presented the award to the awardees during an award function held at Deccan Gymkhana yesterday. Rajendra Bonde (President) and Ravindra Patil (Secretary) of Rotary Club of Pune Lokmanyanagar were also present on the occasion. The club has been giving these awards every year for more than 10 years now. The award is the form of a citation.
