New Delhi, 2nd May 2018: On Maharashtra Diwas, a glittering function was organized at Mumbai by “Afternoon Voice” an English daily newspaper, committed to the common man. The 9th Newsmakers Achievers Award-2018 were given to eminent people for their outstanding contributions in various fields of public service in India.
Ex-Delhi BJP MLA Vijay Jolly was honored with the “Best Political Worker (BJP)” award. While Best Spiritual leader Acharya Dr. Lokesh Muni, Best Music Director to Bappi Lahiri, Best Philanthropist Dr. B.L. Gaur, Best Male Singer to Kailash Kher, Non-corrupt Senior INC leader B.J.K. Patil, Best Doctor – Dr. Avinash Supe, Best Female Comedian Bharti Singh, Best Journalist Rajesh Badal – Rajya Sabha TV, Best TV Actor Rohit Roy, Best Marathi Actor -Swapnil Joshi, Best Child Artist Nitashi Goel, Young Politician Suresh Nakhua, Best Vocalist Dr. Soma Ghosh, Best Male Comedian Rajeev Nigam, Best Actress Nitu Chandra & Jury Award to Advocate Manisha Rote and Ballet Director Villoo Bharucha etc.
The Chief Guest at the program was model turned religious preacher His Holiness Bhaiyyuji Maharaj. Program was compared by Ms. Vaidehi Sachin, Group Editor Afternoon Voice.
Eminent personalities of Mumbai & Maharashtra were present in large numbers at Rangswar Auditorium at Yashwantrao Chavan Pratishthan, Near Mantralaya, Mumbai-21. The program was organized to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao” campaign.
