Pune: In an attempt to better society and support the less privileged, students of Rajagiri Center for Business Studies have hosted a series of activities and events aimed at uplifting society. These activities were undertaken by Rajagiri Transcend, a student driven body that reaches out to the homeless and needy. Conceived a decade ago by the students of Rajagiri, the initiative has since taken root with each new batch of students that join the campus. Through the program, students reach out to the immediate neighbor-hood through various initiatives. Over the years, the activities of Rajagiri Transcend have become more organized and consolidated.
This social service wing of Rajagiri has touched many a heart and soul and goes beyond the limits to serve the people who are under privileged. As a team, the students provide financial assistance to the needy and engage in community activities. CRAYONS’ was a recent activity conceived by Transcend to make a difference in the lives of orphaned children in Ernakulam District. CRAYONS is an social cultural fest being organized by Transcend to provide a platform for children to exhibit their talents, get exposure to compete and equip themselves to forge ahead in life. Around 200 children from various orphanages in and around Kochi participated in the fest.
