Lonavala: On Monday, February 23, 2015, Rev. Dada J.P. Vaswani’s wax statue was unveiled at the hands of Shri Pratap Pawar. The unveiling was done at Sadhu Vaswani Mission, in the presence of Rev. Dada J.P. Vaswani and the city dignitaries of Pune including Dr. S.B. Mujumdar, Dr. V.D. Karad, Rahul Karad, Sanjay Chordiya, Lila Poonawala, Dr. K.H. Sancheti and Dr. Purvez Grant. The statue is made by Mr. Sunil Kandalloor of the famed Lonavala Wax Museum. The statue will be placed in Lonavala wax museum.
Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis sent in a message for the unveiling ceremony, calling Rev. Dada “a living saint in India”. “Today, as the Spiritual Leader of the Sadhu Vaswani Mission, he is the embodiment of utter simplicity and genuine humility. He is the personification of spirituality and humanitarianism, as seen through his multiple activities for the welfare of the poor and also promotion of Meatless Day. I am sure that his life-size statue will act as a beacon of inspiration for all generations to come,” added the CM in his written statement that was read out to the audience.
The event started at 6pm and featured a talk by Rev. Dada on “Make Everyday a Wonderful Day.” He gave a few practical suggestions on how to make everyday a wonderful day. We must begin the day aright & end the day aright. Start the morning with positive affirmation and expectation for the day, thanking God for the many blessings we already have. At the end of the day, read some positive book/article, to help us sleep with a positive frame of mind. During the day, we must help people that will make our own life more meaningful. And continue the practice of thanking God as many times during the day. The talk was followed by an enlightening question and answer session. Just as passing a graduate exam requires practice, it is only a matter of practice for the qualities such as acceptance and surrender said Dada to a question. ‘Does reading inspirational books help?’ was another question and Dada answered that more than books, you receive inspiration from living entities and we must search for a holy one who can guide us with his actual living. His inspiration came from his Guru Sadhu Vaswani.
This programme was the highlight of Thanksgiving Week being celebrated at Sadhu Vaswani Mission. February 18 to 24 is celebrated as Thanksgiving Week at the Sadhu Vaswani Mission and its centers across the world.
