New Delhi: Free Eye Checkup camp organized by Delhi Study Group for the poor citizens in Sangam Vihar attracted large turnout from 9.00 am to 2.00 pm in South Delhi Parliamentary constituency stated Vijay Jolly Ex. Delhi MLA & President Delhi Study Group.
Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Shri. Vijendra Gupta inaugurated the ‘Free Eye Checkup” camp along with Ex. local MLA Vijay Jolly President Delhi Study Group in Sangam Vihar located in South Delhi.
This camp was organized to celebrate the 95th Birth Anniversary of Late Rajmata Vijayraje Scindia born on 12th Oct 1919 and departed for her heavenly abode on 25th Jan 2001. She was popularly known as the Rajmata of Gwalior. She was repeatedly elected to both houses of Indian Parliament in Rajya Sabha & Lok Sabha. She was the architect of Jana Sangh and the Bharatiya Janata Party formed in 1980 under the leadership of legendary Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Poor citizens of unauthorized colonies and jhuggi – jhopdies participated in large numbers in the eye checkup camp. 483 poor patients were examined by eminent eye specialist doctors drawn from AIIMS, Safdarjung Hospital, Army Hospital Delhi Cantt & Fortis Hospital Rohini. Eye drops were distributed along with free eye frames and spectacles by BJP leader Vijay Jolly on occasion.

Councilors Moolchand Sharma & Anil Goel, Azad Singh, Dilwar Singh, Satpal Singhal, Dr. Jaisingh, Kamlesh Yadav, Mahesh Mishra, Arti Rawat, Brijpal Upadhyay, RK Chotela, Meenu Bisht, Vijay Sehgal, Satbir Rana, R.N. Tomar, Yagya Prasad Shukla, Sandeep Shukla, Advocate A.K. Chaudhary & Sardar Dilbagh Singh etc.
