A game-changer in India’s fight against Diabetes
Chellaram Diabetes Institute has organized its 4th International Diabetes Summit – 2020 to tackle Diabetes and identify practical ways to tackle the growing menace of Diabetes and its complications. The International Diabetes Summit aims to empower healthcare professionals with the latest research and knowledge to win this uphill battle to defeat Diabetes.
Major Gen Dr. Madhuri Kanitkar, AVSM, VSM, MBBS, MD (Paediatrics), DNB (Paediatrics), Major General Medical, Udhampur, Fellowship Paediatric Nephrology, FIAP, Fellow FAIMER, ex-Dean and Deputy Commandant of the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune will grace the inaugural function as the Chief Guest. Dr. Bhushan Patwardhan, Ph.D., FNASc, FAMS, the Vice-Chairman, University Grants Commission, New Delhi, will grace the inaugural function as the Guest of Honor.
The summit will also cover discussions and talks on in-hospital blood sugar control, cost-effective diabetes care, glucose monitoring with time-in-range, new advances in diabetes care, diabetic heart failure, insulin pumps, bariatric surgery, once-a-week injections, role of artificial intelligence in diabetes management, next-generation Diabetology, remote monitoring of diabetes, improving patient care, etc. More than 40 young researchers will be presenting posters and free papers at the conference aiming for the “Chellaram Foundation Diabetes Research Award (Rs 1,00,000)” that the Institute has been awarding. Chellaram Diabetes Institute in collaboration with The Blue Circle Foundation will flag a 3 km Marathon at 6:30 am on Sunday 8th March from J.W. Marriot Hotel. Children and teenagers with Type 1 Diabetes will participate in this event.
