New Delhi: Ex. Delhi MLA Vijay Jolly today expressed great concern on increasing criminal acts & incidents of Delhi AAP MLA’s & Ministers.
Weekly & monthly Delhi police arrests & bail outs of AAP MLA’s is eroding the authority & respect of the elected legislators in Delhi. The elected MLAs are “law-makers” and should not act as law breakers stated Senior BJP leader Vijay Jolly.
The citizens of Delhi have imposed faith in 67 AAP MLAs out of 70 in Delhi Assembly polls. But this brute majority should not poison their minds. They should not act as political buffoons commented Mr. Jolly.
During the past 11 months, 4 AAP MLAs, 2 AAP Ministers booked in criminal police cases and one AAP Minister sacked in a serious corruption case. They have all but lowered the dignity of all the political party activists & workers in the capital by their “we are above the law approach” alleged Mr. Jolly.
BJP leader Jolly demanded an explanation from CM Kejriwal for his party’s several elected criminal MLAs. Mr. Jolly especially recalled that on 29th Jan 2016, Vikaspuri AAP MLA Mahendra Yadav booked under Sections : 147, 148, 186, 353, 3 IPC, on 9th June 2015 Tri Nagar MLA & then AAP Minister Jitender Singh Tomar booked under Sec: 467, 468, 120B IPC, on 9th July 2015 Kondli AAP MLA Manoj Kumar booked under Sec: 468, 471, 420, 120B IPC, on 22nd August 2015 AAP Delhi Cantt. MLA Cdr. Surender Singh booked under Sec: 332, 353, 367, 186, 511, 506, 34 IPC & 3 (10) of SC/ST Act, on 29th Sep 2015 Malviya Nagar MLA & then AAP Minister Somnath Bharti booked under Sec: 307, 420, 406, 417, 313, 324, 498A & 506 IPC, on 26th Nov 2015 Model Town AAP MLA Akhilesh Tripathi booked under Sec: 147, 148, 149, 323, 506 IPC and AAP Food Minister Asim Ahmed Khan, MLA from Matia Mahal sacked on corruption charges on 9th Oct 2015.
