Reflects onset of new trend in Marathi Publishing field
PUNE: ‘My Lord’, a book based on the Indian Judiciary and Law and written by renowned author Achyut Godbole and Adv. Madhuri Kajve was recently published first in audiobook format on the Swedish audiobook app- Storytel.
This is a noteworthy onset of a new trend that is emerging in the Marathi publishing field during the pandemic. Due to the rising importance of digital media in the world, Marathi writers as well as publishers have started using the medium of ebooks and audiobooks. Storytel launched its Marathi audiobook app in India in 2017, which prompted many Marathi writers to write for audiobooks.
Achyut Godbole is one of the leading names in Marathi literature. Some of his most popular works titled Musafir, Kimayagaar, Arthat, Manaat, Boardroom, Canvas are available on the Storytel app.
For the first time, his recent most book ‘My Lord’ has been published in the audiobook format before the print format, setting a new trend in the Marathi publishing field. This book contains intriguing information about the advocacy and judiciary written in the author’s signature style. Written along with Adv. Madhuri Kajve, the book takes a look at how the global justice system has evolved and the justice system of all important countries of the world, interesting tales of lawyers and judges, cases that changed the viewpoint or the law, the impact on Indian judiciary, and law, as well as the history of Indian and global justice system, information about the laws that the common man must know, and references. Sandeep Karnik has rendered his voice for the audiobook which is useful not only for lawyers, judges, and other people related to the justice system but also for students and avid readers.
