Special events and program organized as part of Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the Institute
Pune, December 25, 2018: In a bid to provide an ideal platform for knowledge sharing to its current and former students Army Institute of Technology (AIT) recently organized its annual Alumni Day which received an excellent response. Around 200 alumni attended this event from all parts of the country and even from the US.
The event held at the Dighi campus saw very good response as the former students re-visited the campus and shared their experiences with the current students. For any educational institute, alumni are real brand ambassadors. The former students of the renowned institute, not only represent the institute in the real world but also connect, rejuvenate, motivate, align alma mater to the technical, social and competitive world in the real sense. From the year 2000 onwards, a tradition was being set up to celebrate alumni day at the campus. This year saw a large presence of alumni who have made their mark in diverse sectors.
The day-long meet witnessed book launches, knowledge sharing sessions, and cultural activities. The leadership team and faculty of AIT abreast the current & former students of future plans key landmarks of the organizations. Senior alumni conducted an open house for Alma matter in which sessions on social entrepreneurship and Industry 4.0. Vimal Rathore, Former Senior Architect at SAP Labs and Ankush Tiwari, Chief Technology Officer & Co-Founder, Mobiliya (A Quest Global Company) were the speakers. Both are very successful alumni entrepreneurs. In the core program, the address by Raveen Janu on alternative careers in the United Nations was organized; He is working in UN Security. Mr. Mukesh Shukla, Sr. Manager Technology Delivery, Accenture, took the platform to launch his book on Warehouse management. Sr Manager – Business Development and Strategy at Mahindra Ltd, Mr.Pawan Yadav showcased his renowned books on business. Brig Abhay Bhat – Director, AIT and Prof. Manoj Khaladkar – Executive Secretary, Alumni, briefed the progress of the institute and Alumni Association respectively.
AIT took an innovative step by inaugurating – Internet Radio Club, bringing alumni, alma mater and the entire world together. The conclusion was the vote of Thanks by Mr. Vijender Yadav – 2003 batch and CEO of Accops, working in data virtualization. Mr. Vijender is the President of Alumni Association of AIT.
Final slot was the group photo with Hon Chairman of AIT – Maj Gen Pritam Bishnoi, VSM and Chief Signal Officer, Army Sothern Command. He interacted with every alumnus during lunch and extended thanks in his exit talk and expressed happiness about the milestones of alumni. Hang around campus and Cultural evening followed by Dinner was the final part of the program.
