Pune: The 4th Gravity Mr. India Body Building Contest 2016 was organized in the city by Gravity Gym & Health Services recently. The main objective of this event was to support Handicapped Body Builders, Women Empowerment and Anti-Terrorism. The show was attended by many of the great champions and legends of the sports and the celebrities from the glamour world as well as politicians. The main attraction of the event were,8 times Mr. Olympia winner, Body Builder Ronnie Coleman & The Great Khali, Power lifter and professional WWE wrestler, who specially visited Pune for the show. The contest was held in different weigh groups such as, 55kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg, 85kg, 90kg 95kg and 100 onwards. More than 100 contestants from Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Delhi, Rajasthan and Gujarat had participated in this contest and the winners had received Cash Prize and Memento.
All the participants in the different weight category were good enough to flex their muscles during the contest but Maharashtra’s Akshay Mogarkar from 100 kg. Category proved the best amongst many, as his well-toned muscles convinced the judging panel that he was the best of them all and deserved to be won the title. Rupesh Chavhan from Maharashtra won the “Best Poser’ title. In female category Yasmeen from Delhi got first Rank. The handicapped body builder, Sagar Chavhan was adopted by Gravity Gym & Health Services for 3 years and will be provided free Nutrition Supplements and Gym Facility. On the same platform, Stree Shakti Puraskaar were givent to Shweta Rathore, Indian Female Body Builder and Suzanne Bernert, Actor Indian Film Industry. Ranvijay Singh, Host and Actor, and Ranjeet, Senior Actor received Youth Icon and Evergreen Style Icon respectively.
In between the competition rounds, Mansi Naik danced on famous Rikshawala song and German actot, Suzanne Burnet beautifully danced on famous Lavani. Miss World Exquisite, Eesha Agarwal, Sneha Garud and Zumba trainer Rasika Gharpure showed their skill in Bollywood Styled dance. Honorable General Hoon- Indian Army Chief, Hon. Prithiviraj Chavan, Ulhasdada Pawar and other famous personalities from the city graced the occasion. The event was organized by Meehir Kulkarni, the owner of the Gravity Gym & Health Services and the show was hosted by Sandeep Patil.
