New Delhi: The Government desires to acquire the house in London where Dr. B. R. Ambedkar lived during his study period in the city. The Government of Maharashtra has already decided in principle to acquire the said property and appointed Solicitor for purchasing the same. The Government of India has initiated consultations with the Government of Maharashtra regarding purchase of house property by Government of India. Final decision in this regards will be taken soon.
This information was given by the Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Shri Vijay Sampla in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha here today.
