Mumbai: Aneel Murarka attended the charitable event of Rotary club with actress Juhi Chawla and Spearheaded by Dilip Shah Seceratry Rotary club and President Anila Pillai.
He distributed T shirts to the children and enlightened them with encouraging words along with the actress .
Aneel Murarka Known for his philanthropic work towards children has been commendable.
Under the auspices of National Association for the Blind (India) (NAB) and with the help of Rotary Club of Bombay Hanging Garden, Drishti Call Centre was inaugurated by famous Bollywood Actress Ms. Juhi Chawla Mehta on 13th September 2015.
It is first time in India that a fully computerized and automated call centre of a scale employing 50 visually impaired tele-callers is set up. The call centre with computers, auto dialer software and servers has been sponsored by Premlata Vandravan Shah Charities.
As an endeavor of NAB Department of Employment for creating new job opportunities for the Visually Impaired this Call Centre was earlier established and inaugurated by our Hon’ble Past President Mrs. Pratibha Patil in the year 2006, employing about 15 persons. However that was without the use of any technology and the data was given in Braille and calling was done by the visually impaired agents with the use of mobile phones.
National Association for the Blind, (lndia) is an – NGO which has been working relentlessly in the area of Blind welfare since the last more than 60 years, through its all India network of 25 Stares & 65 District Branches and 11 NAB Activities including creating employment opportunities.
On the other hand Rotary Club of Bombay Hanging Garden (RCBHG), has been since past 30 years taking up projects of social causes of varied nature including conducting of yearly eye cataract camps and Jaipur Foot camps in rural areas. Incidentally, Ms Juhi Chawla Mehta is also a member of RCBHG.
With this fully automated centre being set up, the tele-callers will be operating through the Computer with U1e help of Screen Reading Software and the centre would be run by Direct Service agent of Vodafone.
Not only will this centre provide for an additional employment but it will also enhance the working and the earning capacity of these visually impaired tele-callers and work towards making them economically independent.
