VIBGYOR Students took audiences around the world through their stage performance at Viva Concerts
PUNE: VIBGYOR’s pursuit for excellence in holistic education has been reflected in its commitment to sports and the performing arts. To keep this going, VIBGYOR schools organised Viva Concerts recently. Viva concerts are designed to enrich and enlighten students by bringing alive their creativity. It provides an opportunity for the students to perform in front of a large audience, which thereby boosts their confidence and helps them overcome stage fear.
The students of Pre-Primary grades presented “Pretty Witty Candy”. This concert is an exhilarating and heartfelt story of adventure and intrigue, the plot revolves around children and Flossiba – a Candy Fairy. In the classic adventure story, the adventurers leave home, meet a fairy, encounter hazards, and then eventually return wiser than they were before. It has gripping insight into what it takes for young individuals to understand the foundational principles of our lives.
The students of Secondary grades presented “JAGSICA – The Unknown Enemy”. Set in the contemporary times, JAGSICA – The Unknown Enemy is a satirical take on wars. This is an insightful look at war and those who have to be or are involved in it. The plot concerns the leaders from 7 countries who come together for a conference to discuss the ways to tackle a war.
‘An Idea Called India’ was presented by the students of Grades 5-7. Set in contemporary India, Marionettes are the main protagonists of this play. The plot revolves around their quest to find if India still holds its Indianness in the times of growing influence of westernisation and modernisation. We all know that trying to unravel Indianness of our country is like unravelling a diamond which has many luminous facets; the more aspects will shine through and there would be many which would be beyond your sight. So did the marionettes succeed in their mission? What do they find? This and much more in our exciting new presentation of the day…
Cluster Principal, VIBGYOR Schools- Pune, Mr. Vijay Parihar said, “Dance and drama provides an outlet for children to be creative and at the same time display their artistic talents. Through these concerts, our little learners have taken us on a tour around the world. I would like to congratulate the entire team for putting up such an outstanding show. Our motive is to encourage students to participate and to tap their inherent potential through such activities which helps in their holistic development.”
