New Delhi: Ex. Delhi BJP MLA Vijay Jolly today accused Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of playing politics with Govt. funds to wrest “Old-Age Pension” scheme of MCD’s in Delhi.
First starve the civic bodies of their financial dues, create artificial shortage of funds and then force them mid-way to “abort public welfare schemes” initiated for the poor & un-privileged alleged Ex. Delhi BJP MLA Jolly. This is a classic case of bleeding the cash crunched municipalities in the capital.
The Delhi Govt. affidavit in Delhi High Court admitted that it Social Welfare Deptt. provides “OAP” to 3 lakh 84 thousand 545 citizens in Delhi. But also admitted it inability to provide funds for 1 lakh 94 thousand old age pensioners under DMC scheme.
This is nothing but political buffoonery and playing dirty politics by Delhi Govt. with vested bipartisan interests lambasted BJP leader Mr. Jolly.
It may be recalled that Delhi High Court scrapped the old- age pension scheme of all the three BJP led municipal corporations, due to “non-availability” of funds in the capital.
This judicial decision is no good for “State & Civic Rights” in the long term since states can arm twist the civic bodies and force them to abandon their public welfare schemes stated BJP leader Mr. Jolly.
