Pune: Pune Fashion Week, one of the foremost fashion weeks in India, brought the Indian round of the largest Asian model platform to India called Asia New Star Model Contest- Face of India 2015 which successfully came to an end on the 5th of April.
These winners will now represent India and battle it out with contestants from 17 Asian countries in the Asia New Star Model Contest 2015 to be held in Seoul, South Korea on the 22nd of April.
Vishesh Choudhary bagged the People’s Choice Award by scoring the maximum number of votes from the public voting which was active on the Face of India website.
Prior to the finale, a series of events were conducted ie Training & Grooming session for the contestants at Four Points by Sheraton Hotel , which was the hospitality partner. They also visited Max Store, which was the fashion partner. The Swimwear round took place at Gold’s Gym, which was the fitness partner.
The event was organized by Pune Fashion Week and Korea Model Association. Badal Saboo, MD of Pune Fashion Week, played a major role in bringing together the event. Contestants from all over the country had actively participated in the model hunt to grab their opportunity to make a career in modelling.
Lim Joo Wan, Vice Chairman, Korea Model Association and Kim Shi Hwan, Indian Representative for Korea Model Association attended the event as delegates as well as jury members.
From all the entries that had poured in, 12 male and 12 female candidates were shortlisted to compete against each other for the prestigious title of Asia New Star Model Contest- Face of India 2015.
These finalists had to go through introduction round, 5 best poses round and Q&A round. In which they were judged on several parameters by the panel of judges. The panel constituted of famous names from the fashion fraternity like Abhyangh Kuvalekar, Ritika Ramitri, Bhakti Sapke, Amrit Kaur and Sameer Belvalkar.
Renowned names had joined Asia New Star Model Contest- Face of India 2015 as sponsors with Lokmat as the media partner, Seasons Mall as the venue partner, Cuba Libre as the after-party partner, Swan Group as the co-sponsor, ISAS as the styling partner, Four Points by Sheraton as the hospitality partner, Gold’s Gym as the fitness partner, Amura Technologies as the technology partner, Uber as the travel partner, The Red Tree as the communication partner, Max as the fashion partner, Mayur Thali as the food partner, Dermal as the beauty partner, Trustfort as the event partner and iDiva as the entertainment partner.
Seasons Mall had a spectacular footfall of 89000 people on the day of the event. It turned out to be a grand success and was widely appreciated by all present.
