PUNE: The recent incident at Bhavani Peth involving people linked to two neighbouring trust properties has raised several questions that are still not fully answered. The incident took place between persons linked to Haji Ghulam Muhammad Azam Trust, HGMAT, and Golden Jubilee Education Trust, GJET, associated with Shahid Inamdar, who later did a Facebook Live video and passed away the same day. What first appeared to be a dispute over trespassing into GJET Trust, it has now come to light that some Trustees and members of HGMAE Trust were not allowed entry into their own trust Building. This now needs a closer look by the police on when the incident happened, whose material was allegedly moved and from where, and how the latter medical timeline came to be publicly connected to the incident.

Trustees linked to HGMAT say records show that the land and building at CTS No. 646 belong to their trust. According to them, the HGMAT trustee and members had gone there on a Sunday morning when they got to know that their security guards were being removed from their own building. They say they were denied entry by persons linked to Golden Jubilee Education Trust, GJET, whose property is located next to it.

The FIR, however, records the place of occurrence as Golden Jubilee Education, 647, Bhavani Peth, Kasewadi, Pune, and places the incident at about 8 am on May 3, 2026. There is also a further location question because public references and parts of the complaint narrative point to the premises and open area, which is also in the HGMAE Trust. That difference matters. Was the dispute over access to CTS No. 646, which the HGMAT side says belongs to them? Or did it happen on access and entry into Golden Jubilee Education Trust, GJET, at CTS No. 647?

The second question is about time. According to the FIR, the incident happened on May 3 at about 8 am. However, Mr. Shahid Inamdar of GJET himself did a Facebook Live video at around 11.30 am the same morning, in which he described the incident as something that had happened at night. If one version places the incident in the night and the FIR places it early the next morning, investigators will have to establish which timeline is correct.

The third question is about the material. The FIR says items linked to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Institute, including partition material, laptops, computers, benches, furniture, and other articles, had been kept or moved in the compound area, and that some articles were taken away. The concerns about some material being removed from the premises. If some material was removed, when and where did that go? The FIR says police help was called by dialing 112, and that police came to the spot. It also says that after the police arrived, some people left.

Then comes the most sensitive part: the medical timeline. Newspaper reports and public discussion have linked the later death of Mr. Shahid Inamdar to the stress of the incident. But in emotionally charged family and institutional disputes, especially after a death, responsible reporting requires every claim to be tested against records, timelines, and medical evidence.

None of this reduces the grief of the death. When contacted, a trust member associated with HGMAT said they were saddened by the loss of Mr. Shahid Inamdar of GJET. They said they have chosen not to go to the media with allegations. According to the trust member, this decision was taken because GJET, though on the other side of the dispute, was a senior member in HGMAE Trust. “If they feel aggrieved, we understand their grief,” the HGMAT trust member said. “The matter is now with the police and the courts. We will clear the Trust name through the legal process.

For now, the Bhavani Peth case remains marked by unanswered questions. Was it CTS No. 646 or 647? Who owned the material? What did the police see when they arrived? And how does the medical timeline actually connect, if at all, to the incident?

Until these questions are answered through property records, tenant documents, police statements, and medical papers, the incident would need to be investigated.

The move marks the first visual identity refresh for the pickle portfolio since launch.

Built around mothers’ love, traditional ways of pickle-making, and authentic recipes drawn from regional traditions, the new design is rooted in the evolving language of today’s consumer.

MUMBAI: Mother’s Recipe is set to refresh the visual identity of its iconic pickle range, marking the first uplift for the portfolio since launch. Built around the taste of mother’s love, the upcoming label change reimagines the brand’s most familiar category through a modern expression of the brand’s core with a more distinctive design rooted in emotional cues.

For years, Mother’s Recipe’s iconic glass pickle bottles have been associated with the kind of nostalgic taste that comes from recipes passed down by mothers and grandmothers over time. We wanted the new look to be rooted in Indian traditions.

Available in a range of 64+ variants, the task was daunting; each design had to draw inspiration from regional visual elements, like the rich hues of regional sarees, traditional utensils, colour-coded fabric napkins, and Swaad Mamta Ka – the core of each recipe that we have in our pickles – mentioned in over 10 languages on various regional labels. Each of the 64 variants had to be visually differentiated through detailed photography, with the use of fresh regional fruits, distinguishing it right from the size of the cut mangoes, the variety of spices used in each region, and actions associated with pickle-making have been woven into the identity, connecting what you see on the pack to where it comes from and how it tastes.

Most important to us was the use of a mother’s hands with region-specific bangles in the act of making pickle, retained intentionally to reinforce authenticity and create a direct link between the product and memories of traditional pickle-making at home, to drive consumer confidence. The pickles use no added artificial preservatives and are made the way our mothers would make them traditionally at home, as highlighted by the “No preservatives” unit on the new label.

Speaking on the upcoming identity refresh, Sanjana Desai, Executive Director, Desai Foods Pvt. Ltd., said, “Mother’s Recipe pickles have long been associated with the taste of Mother’s love stemming from the familiarity, trust, and the kind that feels deeply rooted to our traditions. As we looked at this identity change, our endeavour was not simply to update the packaging, but to present that legacy in a way that feels more relevant to today’s consumer.”

Dhun Patel, CEO, Therefore Design, said, “This redesign allowed us to revisit how Mother’s Recipe pickles are expressed visually, while staying close to what the range already means to consumers. The effort was to build a system that feels more current in the market while remaining recognisable as Mother’s Recipe.”

The refreshed visual identity for Mother’s Recipe’s pickle range will be introduced across markets in line with rollout plans and product availability.

INDIA: Dr. Reddy’s and Nestlé Health Science Limited, a joint venture between Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd (BSE: 500124, NSE: DRREDDY, NYSE: RDY, NSEIFSC: DRREDDY; along with its subsidiaries together referred to as “Dr. Reddy’s”) and Nestlé India Limited (BSE: 500790, NSE: NESTLEIND) referred hereafter as “Nestlé India”, today announced the launch of Celevida®GLP+, a specialised scientifically designed product to support optimum nutrition intake and muscle mass maintenance for sustaining metabolic and functional health for people undergoing GLP-1/GIP therapy* for management of type 2 diabetes and obesity in India.

As GLP-1/GIP–based therapies become more widely adopted in the management of type 2 diabetes and obesity, improving access to advanced treatment options for patients, it has become increasingly important to build an integrated ecosystem beyond medication. Encompassing nutrition, clinical monitoring, and long-term patient support, this ecosystem should be an enabler for sustained and holistic outcomes for patients managing type 2 diabetes and obesity. A critical component of this approach is addressing the nutritional gaps and muscle health challenges associated with these therapies to improve overall outcomes.

M.V. Ramana, CEO, Global Generics at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Limited and Director, Dr. Reddy’s and Nestlé Health Science Limited, “GLP-1 therapies represent a significant advancement in diabetes and obesity management. However, a clear unmet need remains in supporting patients beyond pharmacological treatment, particularly in addressing nutrition gaps and preserving muscle health during therapy. As patients experience changes in body composition, ensuring adequate nutrient intake and maintaining lean body mass become critical to sustaining long-term outcomes. With Celevida® GLP+, we aim to address this gap through a targeted, science-backed nutritional solution that complements pharmacological therapies and supports better overall patient outcomes in their everyday journey. As part of this commitment, we remain focused on advancing integrated, patient-centric solutions that enable more sustainable and holistic management of metabolic health.”

Insights from senior Indian clinicians highlighted a critical and often under-recognized risk: muscle loss during GLP-1/GIP therapy. Studies indicate that 25-40% of total weight loss associated with GLP-1 and dual GLP-1/GIP therapies may be attributed to lean body mass loss (1,2). Experts noted that this risk may be amplified in Indians due to inherently lower baseline skeletal muscle mass and higher body fat mass (3), which may be further compounded by chronically low protein intake of approximately 0.6g/kg/day(4). This creates a dual vulnerability, making muscle preservation not just important, but essential for long-term metabolic health.

Clinical and expert consensus recommend increasing protein intake to 1.2–1.5 g/kg/day to help preserve muscle mass during weight loss, highlighting the need for customised nutritional support (5).

Addressing this need, Celevida® GLP+ has been scientifically designed and co-created with leading endocrinologists and diabetologists to address protein gaps and preserve muscle mass and function in individuals undergoing GLP-1/GIP therapy. It is formulated using fast-absorbing whey protein isolate (WPI), known to be gentle on the gut and suitable during periods of gastrointestinal intolerance commonly associated with GLP-1/GIP therapy. Celevida® GLP+ provides 48 g of protein per 100 g, along with 100% RDA (Recommended Dietary Allowance) of branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs). It also provides 27 essential nutrients, including vitamins A, D, and calcium. Dr. Reddy’s and Nestlé Health Science have an established presence in specialised nutrition for people with diabetes through its Celevida® Diabetes Nutrition, designed to support comprehensive diabetes management. The formulation is clinically proven to support sustained 24-hour blood glucose control and reduce HbA1c levels (6), and is characterised by a low glycaemic index(7), making it suitable for long-term metabolic management.

Celevida® GLP+ is available in a 350 g pack across pharmacies, retail outlets, and leading e-commerce platforms.

Collaboration establishes an official national pathway to the Esports World Cup 2026, led by Chess, with more than 10,000 players expected to compete in qualifiers ahead of the live festival in Mumbai.

MUMBAI: The Esports Foundation (EF) and JioBLAST have today announced a strategic partnership to launch India Rising: Road to EWC, a national competition pathway and a festival hosted in India ahead of the Esports World Cup 2026 (EWC), the world’s largest esports and gaming event. The future vision of the partnership beyond 2026 will be formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop the ecosystem, beginning with India Rising: Road to EWC as a long-term flagship property connected to EWC in India.

Delivered in collaboration with Jio (for use of its digital platforms) and Chess.com, India Rising will feature international nationwide open qualifiers for Chess, culminating in a grand finals held on LAN at the fan festival, with the winner advancing to the EWC 2026 Chess main event, held in Riyadh from August 11-15, 2026. While the 2026 edition introduces Chess as its inaugural competitive title, building on India’s global strength in the game, India Rising: Road to EWC is designed to scale in future years, expanding into multiple esports formats and fan-centric experiences as the platform continues to evolve.

All titled Indian players will be invited to the closed qualifier section of India Rising, with more than 10,000 grassroots players across the country expected to sign up for open registration.

The festival will be held offline in Mumbai, where attendees can experience the India Rising Chess finals alongside creator programming, entertainment, and interactive fan experiences. Additional exhibition matches in VALORANT and Moba Legends: 5v5! will form part of the program, which will bring together competitive esports and live entertainment, featuring live music, cosplay, comedy, interactive gaming zones, and dedicated creator areas for fan engagement.

“The Esports World Cup’s purpose is to unite the global gaming community, and that means investing in regions shaping the future of the industry,” said Mohammed Al Nimer, Chief Commercial Officer of the Esports Foundation. “India is central to that vision. With hundreds of millions of players, it is home to leading chess talent, elite championship Clubs to digital platforms redefining how fans engage with esports. Through partnership with JioBlast, we are creating new opportunities for Indian players to compete at the highest level, while bringing the EWC closer to its fans in the country.”

Charlie Cowdrey, CEO, JioBLAST, said: “India has the second biggest gaming base and one of the most passionate gaming communities in the world, but what has been missing is a clear and credible pathway from India into the biggest global stages. Partnering with the Esports World Cup to build India Rising: Road to EWC will change that. Starting with Chess.com in 2026, this is about opening the door for Indian talent, building stronger connections between players, fans, and publishers, and creating an ecosystem that can grow with the market over time. We are proud to be building it with the Esports Foundation and are excited for what this will become in the future years together.”

India is one of the world’s leading Chess nations, led by a new generation of Grandmasters including Gukesh Dommaraju, Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu, Nihal Sarin, and Arjun Erigaisi. India was represented at the Esports World Cup 2025 by Sarin and Erigaisi, competing for S8UL and Gen.G, respectively, reflecting the country’s impact at the highest level of competition. India is one of the fastest-growing gaming markets globally, expected to surpass 500 million players in 2026, with player spending projected to exceed $1 billion. The market is predominantly mobile, with approximately 95% of players on mobile devices.

Avadh Shah, Country Director – India, Chess.com, said: “India is one of the most exciting chess communities in the world, with incredible depth of talent across both the grassroots and elite levels. We’re proud to partner on India Rising: Road to EWC to help create a truly open and competitive pathway for players across the country. We’re looking forward to delivering a world-class experience by combining our massive platform with the scale of Jio and the global stage of the Esports World Cup.”

JioBLAST will lead the design and delivery of India Rising, including competition, festival, and content. The initiative establishes a structured route from grassroots participation in India to global competition at the EWC. Given India’s evolving regulatory ecosystem, JioBLAST continues to engage with regulators.

Chess returns to EWC this summer with a $1.5 million prize pool following its debut last year, where Magnus Carlsen (Team Liquid) won the inaugural title. The competition expands to a 21-player field, with a play-in stage and qualification routes including the India Rising pathway alongside Champions Chess Tour and Chess.com events.

The 20–40 age cohort drives sustained growth

NEW DELHI: India’s maternity healthcare landscape is undergoing a significant shift, with more women accessing formal, institutional care than ever before. As per data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, with over 88–90% of births now occurring in institutional settings, the share of institutional deliveries has reached 97.3% in 2023–24, signalling a sustained shift towards formal, hospital-based maternal care. Government data presented in 2025 further showed that C-section deliveries accounted for over 27% of all reported births in India during 2024–25, reinforcing the growing shift towards medically intensive maternity care.

Against this backdrop, Care Health Insurance highlights a clear expansion in women’s health claims, both in scale and intensity. Women’s health insurance claims rose 37% from FY25 to FY26, with the 20–40 age group continuing to drive this growth, increasing from 25% over the same period.

At the same time, maternity-related claims are becoming more cost-intensive, with Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities continuing to account for a larger share of overall claims, contributing to 60% of all maternity claims reported to the company.

A shift in the maternal age profile is also visible. In FY26, women aged above 35 years accounted for 12% of total maternity claim volumes, which was higher compared to previous years and increasing. The cost of this age group was 18% of the overall claim amount, indicating higher cost intensity associated with later-age pregnancies.

Overall maternity claim outgo has risen by 25% over the last two years, even as claim volumes have fluctuated, indicating a shift towards higher spend per case.

While deliveries are becoming increasingly institutionalized and more efficient, the proportion of women discharged within five days for maternal care has increased from 75% in FY24 to 82% in FY26. This duration of discharge is not resulting in cost reduction; instead, the company has seen an upward trend in cost intensity for maternal treatment.

Taken together, these trends reflect a structural shift in maternal healthcare, with rising cost intensity and evolving care patterns driving higher financial exposure. The findings are further reinforced by broader public health data, which indicates that a majority of women in India are accessing formal antenatal care services, while three out of four continue to have inadequate dietary iron intake, highlighting persistent nutritional gaps and long-term health vulnerabilities beyond maternity.

Commenting on the findings, Manish Dodeja, Executive Director & Chief Business Officer, Care Health Insurance, said, “Women’s health insurance claims are no longer following a linear growth pattern; they are expanding in both scale and intensity. We are seeing a clear shift in the maternity landscape, with costs rising steadily. While care pathways are becoming more efficient, the financial exposure associated with maternal healthcare is increasing. This is not just a utilisation trend; it reflects a broader shift in how women are accessing and experiencing healthcare today. It is therefore important for individuals to periodically reassess their coverage to ensure it remains aligned with evolving needs.”

As maternal healthcare continues to formalise and utilisation rises, ensuring adequate and timely health insurance coverage remains critical to managing financial exposure and ensuring continuity of care.

MUMBAI: Following the introduction of the new Kushaq, Škoda Auto India continues its strong product momentum with a series of updates to its second-generation Kodiaq. With these enhancements, the brand comprehensively refreshes its luxury 4×4 flagship while reinforcing its philosophy of “Luxury, As It Should Be.”

Launched in India in April 2025 in Sportline and Selection L&K trims, and later complemented by the Lounge variant, the Kodiaq now enters 2026 with sharper differentiation across three distinct offerings. Each caters to a specific customer aspiration—greater accessibility, heightened sportiness and uncompromised premium luxury—while preserving the Kodiaq’s signature strengths of refinement, versatility, off‑road capability and engaging on-road dynamics.

Speaking on the introduction, Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India, said, “After our biggest year in 2025 and a record-breaking first quarter in 2026, we are updating our flagship Kodiaq to further elevate its appeal. With the 2026 enhancements, our aim is simple – there is now a Kodiaq for every luxury 4×4 aspiration, whether it is accessibility, sportiness, or premium sophistication. These additions strengthen an already compelling nameplate and reflect our focus on meaningful, timely product actions. The Kodiaq has emerged as a key pillar for Škoda in India and globally, and today it truly stands for ‘Luxury, As It Should Be.”

Kodiaq Lounge

The Lounge variant enhances accessibility to the Kodiaq range with an exceptional blend of value, space, and versatility, offering a generous 786-litre boot as standard. Configured as a five-seater, the Kodiaq Lounge is tailored for customers seeking outstanding value while retaining all the core strengths of the Kodiaq, including the 2.0 TSI engine, seven-speed DSG transmission, and 4×4 capability.

The cabin features Grey Suedia fabric upholstery and is equipped with signature Kodiaq comforts, including a sliding panoramic sunroof, two‑spoke leather multifunction steering wheel with shift paddles, additional acoustic insulation, three‑zone Climatronic climate control, and an ergonomically positioned gear selector on the steering column, among others.

Kodiaq Sportline

Delivering a distinctly dynamic character, the Kodiaq Sportline draws inspiration from Škoda Auto’s motorsport heritage. For 2026, the Sportline is enhanced with a comprehensive suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). These include LED Matrix Headlights with Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS), Adaptive Cruise Control, Front Assist with warning and braking reaction, Lane Assist, Side Assist (blind spot detection and lane change assist), Rear Traffic Alert, and Exit Warning System.

Further strengthening its positioning, features previously exclusive to the Selection L&K, such as the 360-degree Area View Camera, Intelligent Park Assist, and the front grille with a horizontal light strip, are now available on the Sportline trim as well.

True to its sporty ethos, the Kodiaq Sportline is distinguished by Glossy Black exterior styling elements, Black Suedia interiors, a sport three‑spoke leather multifunction steering wheel with shift paddles, aluminium pedals, and other performance‑inspired details.

Kodiaq Selection L&K

The Selection L&K continues to represent the pinnacle of luxury within the Kodiaq range and across Škoda Auto India’s portfolio. For 2026, it too is enhanced with the ADAS suite, further elevating its safety and technology offering.

The cabin is adorned with Cognac leather upholstery, complemented by front Ergo seats featuring pneumatic massage, ventilation, heating, and power adjustment. The steering wheel proudly carries the signature Laurin & Klement insignia, while the cabin seamlessly blends indulgent craftsmanship with the Kodiaq’s formidable 4×4 capability, delivering refined luxury in any terrain.

Proven and unique

The 2026 Kodiaq continues with the proven 2.0 TSI engine, delivering 150kW of power and 320Nm of torque, with power channelled to all four wheels through a seven‑speed DSG automatic transmission. Based on the MQB37 platform, the Kodiaq is assembled at Škoda Auto India’s facility in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar.

The update retains the innovative multi‑function Smart Dials, featuring tactile rotary controllers and integrated displays that allow intuitive control of HVAC, seat ventilation, audio settings, and drive modes.

The Kodiaq legacy

First introduced in India in 2017 as a luxury seven‑seat 4×4, the Kodiaq established a benchmark that continues today. It also marked the beginning of Škoda Auto’s SUV naming convention – starting with ‘K’ and ending with ‘Q’ – a philosophy that has since extended to India‑specific models such as the Kushaq and Kylaq.

The Kodiaq derives its name from the Kodiak archipelago in Alaska, USA, and the Kodiak bear that inhabits the region, symbolising ruggedness, strength, and the raw beauty of its natural environment.

Škoda’s racing DNA

Motorsport has been integral to Škoda Auto’s DNA for over a century. This heritage is reflected across its Indian portfolio, where turbo‑charged engines, true automatic transmissions, sharp handling, and engaging dynamics define the driving experience.

From the Kylaq sub‑4m SUV to the Slavia sedan, the Kushaq mid‑size SUV, the Kodiaq luxury 4×4, and the limited‑volume Octavia RS, Škoda Auto India delivers performance‑driven engineering across segments. With trims such as Sportline and Monte Carlo, the brand continues to showcase its motorsport legacy, engineering prowess, and unmistakable sporty character, embodied vividly in the Kodiaq Sportline.

PUNE: In an increasingly fast-paced and digitally connected world, meaningful human connections often remain elusive. For 35-year-old Maheshwari from Chennai, the journey toward emotional well-being and self-expression took a transformative turn when she discovered FRND.

Following a difficult divorce, Maheshwari found herself navigating intense loneliness, stress, and sleepless nights. Despite being socially active as an influencer on social media, she realised that digital visibility did not translate into real connection. “You never really know who your content reaches,” she said, highlighting the gap between audience engagement and genuine human interaction.

It was during this challenging phase that a friend introduced her to the FRND app. What began as a recommendation soon became a deeply personal support system. Unlike traditional social or dating platforms, Maheshwari found the platform to be far more intimate and personalised, offering the ability to engage in direct, meaningful conversations.

From her very first experience, the platform felt like a natural fit. As someone who loves talking, Maheshwari enjoys connecting with people, sharing stories, and listening to them. Today, she spends hours daily on the app, primarily engaging in conversations that build emotional connection and understanding.

What initially served as a remedy for loneliness soon evolved into a sense of purpose. Maheshwari began using the platform not just to seek connection, but to give back – to influence, empower, and uplift others through her words. This shift from receiver to contributor became one of the most fulfilling aspects of her journey.

What makes the platform truly distinct for Maheshwari is the absence of judgment. Unlike other interactions, where fear of being misunderstood can often hold people back, she feels completely free to express herself on the platform. “There are no inhibitions here,” she says, noting how everyone brings their own vulnerabilities, creating a shared space of understanding.

While she initially approached the platform with hesitation, unfamiliar with such digital spaces, her trust grew over time. Features designed to ensure user safety, combined with initiatives like daily community sessions, helped her feel secure and supported. Today, she describes the platform as a space where she can be her most authentic self without fear.

Maheshwari leads a fulfilling professional life as a tailor. Yet, the platform has added a new dimension to her life, allowing her to connect with people beyond her immediate environment, all from the comfort of her home.

Maheshwari’s story is a powerful reminder that emotional well-being often begins with being heard. What started as a search for companionship became a journey of self-expression, empathy, and impact. In finding her voice on FRND, she has not only rediscovered herself but also become a source of strength for others navigating their own struggles.

PUNE: Hernia is a common yet often overlooked condition that can significantly affect quality of life if not treated in time. It occurs when an organ or tissue pushes through a weakened area in the surrounding muscle. Factors such as heavy lifting, chronic coughing, obesity, and previous surgeries can increase the risk.

According to the World Health Organization, untreated surgical conditions, including hernia, contribute notably to the global disease burden. Data from the National Center for Biotechnology Information indicates that inguinal hernia affects nearly 27% of men and around 3% of women during their lifetime. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare also highlights the importance of early diagnosis and timely surgical care to prevent complications.

Hernia often begins as a small, painless bulge in the groin, abdomen, or near a previous surgical site, leading many individuals to ignore it. However, early signs may include a dragging sensation, mild discomfort, pressure after prolonged standing, and abdominal heaviness or bloating. Recognizing these symptoms early and seeking medical advice is crucial.

Diagnosis is typically straightforward through physical examination, with imaging used in select cases. Early detection allows for simpler and more effective treatment.

“In my practice, I have treated many patients who initially noticed only a small swelling. It is important to understand how this condition can progress if left untreated. With timely intervention, patients are often reassured by how straightforward the procedure is and how quickly symptoms such as swelling and discomfort improve after repair,” said Dr Parmeshwar Bhambrule, Senior Consultant, Healing Hands Hospital.

Advancements in hernia therapy have made treatment safer and more efficient. Minimally invasive techniques involve smaller incisions, resulting in less pain, a quicker recovery, and a shorter hospital stay. The use of surgical mesh to further strengthen the affected area further reduces the risk of recurrence, enabling patients to resume daily activities comfortably.

Delaying treatment can lead to complications such as incarceration, where tissue becomes trapped, or strangulation, a serious condition requiring emergency care.

“I always advise my patients that hernia treatment is not just about correcting a visible bulge but also about preventing complications and improving overall quality of life. Many patients experience better mobility, improved sleep, and a quicker return to normal routines following timely treatment,” said Dr Vinayak Kshirsagar, DY Patil Hospital, Pune.

Maintaining a healthy weight, avoiding excessive strain, and addressing a persistent cough can help reduce risk. Increased awareness, early diagnosis, and timely intervention remain key to effective hernia management and long-term well-being.

PUNE: India’s No. 1 tractor export brand, Sonalika Tractors, has marked a strong and strategic beginning to its FY’27 journey with best-ever April overall sales of 16,223 tractors and stands tall among the highest market share gainers in the industry. This is driven by its staggering overall growth of 35.6%, and it has also beaten the industry performance of 27% growth (est). The company has continued to bank upon its farmer-first philosophy of delivering ‘Jeetne ka Dum’ in its landmark 30th year, supported by advanced agri-innovations for greater farmer efficiency and income potential.

With record foodgrain production and increasing mechanisation after GST rate reductions, the next phase of India’s agri-growth story will be defined by a technology-led product portfolio and relentless execution speed. At a time when rural sentiment is being shaped by weather volatility and rising performance expectations, Sonalika continues to stand tall as a dependable partner to 19+ lakh farmers and ensures its high-quality tractors perform seamlessly across applications. Backed by the world’s largest integrated tractor manufacturing plant and advanced R&D capabilities, the brand continues to lead the transformation of Indian agriculture with powerful and future-ready solutions.

Speaking on the occasion, Raman Mittal, Joint Managing Director, International Tractors Limited, said, “In our landmark 30th year, our highest-ever April performance of 16,223 overall tractor sales signals a strong shift towards technology-driven farming as we step into a new FY’27 journey with even greater commitment to deliver ‘Jeetne ka Dum’ to farmers. We have also clocked our robust growth of 35.6% to beat industry performance and stand tall among leading market share gainers in the industry.

The momentum we are building for FY’27 remains anchored in building sharper innovations and deepening farmer connect in India’s agri transformation. The future of farming is set to be bolder than ever, and we are ready with sharper focus, futuristic products such as Gold Series, and an unshakable commitment to strengthen Indian farmers’ aspirations.”
