Mayur Marne – Diageo Reserve Brand Ambassador (West Region)
Mayur is a beverage expert with more than 12 years of experience in luxury hospitality & global bartending trends. He is currently the Reserve Brand Ambassador with Diageo India for the West Region. With an avid interest in the alco-bev field, Mayur represented India in 2017 & 2019 for the World Class global finals as a Reserve Brand Ambassador of Diageo India along with World Class India winner. He was previously associated with Hakkasan [Mumbai] (Belongs to 2 Michelin star restaurant) as a Beverage Manager/ sommelier, handling operations and was the lead beverage trainer for KA hospitality, facilitating sessions on spirits, wines, cocktails, and mixology for bartenders and wait staff. He has also had a stint as a bartender at Indigo, Tote on the turf [Mumbai]
Mayur has participated in several cocktail competitions in India. He was awarded as a national finalist in the Indian sommelier Competition in the year of 2014. He was also the 2nd runner up at the Diageo Reserve World-class India 2015 and a national finalist in the year 2014.
Mayur is a graduate in Bachelor of science, [Hospitality studies] Mumbai and has completed his Business of Bar program, WSET Advanced level in the wine, WSET Level 2 Award in Spirits, and studied at the Court of master sommelier from Greece. When not working, Mayur enjoys listening to music and explores trends in the world of mixology, spirits & wine. He is extremely passionate about beverages and intends to work very closely with the bartenders and wait for staff to “Raise the Bar” and create World Class experiences for consumers.
