Pune, April 13, 2017: Bajaj Finserv Limited (BFS), one of the leading financial services companies in India, in partnership with Symbiosis School of Banking and Finance (SSBF), Pune, has developed a customized programme for students aspiring for jobs in BFSI sector. The Certificate Program in Banking, Finance and Insurance (CPBFI) is a practical, short and affordable certificate programme for fresh graduates and students in the final year that will help them jumpstart a career in the sector.
Starting April 2015, Bajaj Finserv and SSBF have conducted seven batches of CPBFI and the students have joined leading banks, insurance and other financial services companies. Admissions for the eighth batch are currently open and the classes will start from April 25, 2017 at the English Language Training Institute of Symbiosis (ELTIS) in Model Colony. For this programme, students need to pay a nominal fee of Rs. 6,000 and rest is paid by the CSR fund of Bajaj Finserv.
Talking about the initiative, Mr. Ajay Sathe, Head – CSR, Bajaj Finserv said, ‘With over 20,000 employees, Bajaj Finserv and its subsidiaries have an understanding of the skill gaps amongst fresh graduates and the acute shortage of talent faced by the industry. We have developed this customized programme to address the challenges faced by the graduates while keeping in mind industry requirements, making it a win-win proposition for both.”
The programme offers a combination of industry knowledge (about banks, non-banking finance companies and life & general insurance companies) and soft skills, mainly communication skills, preparing the participants to step into the financial industry. The students can also experience the entire recruitment process from selection of an advertisement to the job interview, during the HR workshop conducted by the HR team from Bajaj Finserv.
