Some of the newspapers have published news regarding our Bank’s revised guidelines of Agril lending.
We have to clarify that Bank has not put any restriction on extending Agriculture Credit Assistance to the farmers. In 8 select Zones, to mitigate the hardship of farmers & to speed-up the process, Review / Renewal of existing Short Term Crop Loans (MKCCs) every year will be done by the Branches only. Any new / fresh proposals will have to be referred to the next sanctioning authority i.e. respective Zonal Office.
For providing relief measures to the farmers affected by natural calamities, Branches will undertake / carry out Conversion or Reschedulement work mainly.
Zones will strengthen their dedicated Agri Loan Processing Cell for faster decisions by having sufficient number of Agri Filed Officers at their end, so as to give the decision quickly.
Shetkari Melavas will be organized from May,2019 onwards, throughout India for accelerating finance to the farmers for Kharif,2019 season.
Executives / Officials from Zonal Office & Head Office will monitor the performance closely.
