Pune: It was a proud moment for Dr.Amit Kamle, Chairman and Managing Director of A.K. International Tourism, for being the prestigious winner of Brands Academy Award of Excellence for Significant contribution by A.K.International Tourism as ‘Best Pilgrimage Tour Operator’ for Israel, Jordan and Egypt. Dr. Amit Kamle received the award from Chief Guest, Lisa Ray, popular Bollywood actress. The Award ceremony was held at Movenpick Hotel and Spa, Bangalore on 8th August 2015.
Said a beaming Dr. Amit Kamle, “I feel blessed that God has chosen us to serve in his divine ministry and to show the Pilgrims the Holy land of Israel, Jordan and Egypt and witness God’s presence there. The Tourism award that too for Best Pilgrimage Tour Operator Award, and receiving it on an international platform, has been a very humbling experience. It truly inspires us to further excel in our endeavour”.
Based on a comprehensive market research study and opinion surveys conducted, the awards recognize deserving institutions across the country on various parameters and from diverse categories, and acknowledge their contribution in the growth of the tourism sector.
Dr. Amit Kamle started A.K. International Tourism in 2012.Coming from a small town, Miraj it was a very brave decision to start such a unique and noble enterprise, of taking pilgrims on an exclusive pilgrimage to The Holy lands of Israel, Jordan and Egypt, travelling from where Lord Jesus was born, until he was crucified, and then resurrected.
That’s not all – Dr. Kamle even launched a spectacular DVD by the same title, ‘The Holy Land Journey’. It was the 1st DVD of its kind launched in India & has been made in 13 regional languages – English, Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Oriya, Assamese and even Urdu, with sub-titles in English. “Our aim was to reach out to maximum people as possible, and no one should be deprived of getting to see the places where Lord Jesus lived, just because of the language and financial barrier. The film traverses through 75 sites where Lord Jesus travelled, and includes all the places that are mentioned in the Bible”, sums up Dr. Kamle.
