New Delhi, December 27, 2018: BJP leader & President Delhi Study Group Vijay Jolly led Indian delegation met visiting Bhutan Prime Minister Dr. Lotay Tshering at New Delhi. Ambassador of Bhutan Maj. Gen. V. Namgyel was present on the occasion.
BJP Leader Jolly honored Bhutan PM with a shawl & also presented him a lotus scarf saffron of BJP on the occasion.
The current Bhutan Prime Minister is a doctor & also the President of Bhutan United Party (Druk Nyamrup Tshogpa) which won 30 seats in Bhutan 2018 parliamentary elections. On 7th Nov 2018 Dr., Lotay Tshering replaced Tshering Tobgay and was sworn in as the 3rd democratically elected Prime Minister of Bhutan. This is his maiden trip to India as PM of Bhutan.
BJP leader Jolly conveyed to the visiting PM greetings of Indian friendship & brotherhood to promote people to people friendship between the two nations. Jolly also specially mentioned the close relationship shared between Prime Minister Narendra Modi & His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck.
Jolly also appreciated the special relationship existing between India & Bhutan. And exhibited in recent times during the June-2017 “Doklam” military standoff between China & India. For its peaceful resolution, Jolly appreciated the political leadership of India-China & Bhutan on the occasion.
The other prominent leaders in the delegation were Vijay Mehta-Honorary Consul of Romania, Ashish Brahmbhatt-OFBJP Convener Scotland, Dr. Swati Maheshwari-TV Anchor & Anti Aging Practitioner, Miss Nitika Sharma-South Delhi Municipal Councilor. Pune based historian & artist M.R. Pimpare & his daughter Mrs. Mayura presented Ajanta caves restored painting the g to Bhutan PM.
