In a unique way Movie Masti Magic Studios latest venture Dunno Y2…Life is a Moment celebrated Ashley and Aryan’s (Played by Yuvraaj Parashar and Kapil Sharma) sangeet ceremony at rooftop lounge La Patio in Mumbai Suburbs. It is first time in the history of Bollywood, such kind of event happened. Anchored by noted stand up comedian Umesh Pherwani, noted dignitaries like theatre personalities Dolly Thakore, director Anil Sharma, internationally acclaimed choreographer Sandip Soprarker, LGBT activist Laxminarayan Tripathi, Sridhar Rangayan – director of the prestigious Kashish LGBT international film festival of Mumbai, Sushant Digvikar (Mr. Gay World), Prince Manvendra Singh made a princely entry with his husband DUKE, an American. He proudly introduced his husband to everyone present there., veteran producer K.C.Sharma, fashion designer Rohit Verma, activist Harrish Iyer.
Norwegian director Tonje Gevjon travelled from her hometown to Mumbai to celebrate the sangeet ceremony of Ashley and Aryan. “India is one of the countries that values equal rights for all. This film deals with LGBT issues and I am glad that we have made a beautiful film on this subject,”said Tonje while addressing the media at the event. Director duo Sanjay Sharma said, “for the first time in history of Bollywood we are celebrating the sangeet of a gay couple in public. I think this is a step forward from where we stand today. “ Transgender Lakshmi Tripathi gave a fabulous performance on a dance track from the film followed by a Ashley and Aryan performance on the item track Bappi Lahiri’s gay anthem ‘CHATNI’…composed by Nikhil Kamath amidst much fanfare. Cheered by socialites, media and other guests.Ashley proposed Aryan on bended knees with a rose. They followed all traditions of the ring ceremony during the ‘Sangeet’. This was historic as all the gay activist present there felt that it was a symbolic gesture that will create a revolution in India for same sex marriage. And they all promised to be present for the ‘ BARAAT’ on sept 17, on the film release date.
“I would like to thank Mr. Vivek Anand(CEO of Humsafar) for his unconditional support towards the movie,”said Yuvraaj Parashar who is looking stunning in his off white designer sherwani. While his co actor Kapil Sharma said, “I think this is the right time to Bollywood to talk about tabooed subject like homosexuality. Tonje and Sanjay have done a fabulous job with the subject. Am looking forward to work with them again,”. Kapil Sharma was wearing black designer sherwani that complemented Yuvraaj’s costume.Rahul Ladha from La Patio said “We are happy to be associated with the film that deals with social cause. These are the projects that brings in change in the society”. It is sequel of 11 international award winner Dunno Y Na Jaane Kyun and first Indian Norwegian collaboration film.
