Burberry has been included in the 2015 Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) for the first time. The inclusion recognises that Burberry is one of the top performing companies in the ‘Consumer Durables & Apparel’ sector for Corporate Sustainability in the World.
Now in its 16th year, the industry-specific, best-in-class approach to selection means the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices serve as trusted benchmarks for the investment community, recognising sustainable business practices as indicative of long-term shareholder value.
Burberry Chief Creative and Chief Executive Officer, Christopher Bailey, said:
“It is a great honour to be included in the 2015 Dow Jones Sustainability Index. I believe our inclusion reflects the real focus, importance and integrated approach that we place as a culture on managing our business in a responsible and sustainable manner – this recognition means a great deal to all of us at Burberry.”
