30th November, 2018: Nothing says Christmas is around the corner more than a good old cake mixing ceremony. Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort & Spa commenced preparations for the traditional plum cake with much fanfare in the city. Spreading cheer and warmth of the festive season, the property organized its first cake mixing ceremony.
“Cake Mixing is the most awaited tradition of the season. The aroma of nuts, raisins, apple, apricots, dried ginger and rum envelope the atmosphere making it feel like Christmas has arrived early this year!” adds Mukesh Sharma, Executive Chef, Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort & Spa.
The conventional Christmas cake mixing event is held in advance to allow the nuts, dry fruits and assorted spirits to infuse perfectly. Several well-known personalities were present to usher in good tidings with the guidance of in-house chefs at the property.
