These projects are for the development of roads in Rajasthan under the ‘Bharatmala Scheme’ and the PPP Scheme of the Central Government.
Of the total investment to be made by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, projects worth Rs. 5,587 crore will be executed by the State PWD and projects worth Rs. 19,859 crore by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).

The centre’s Bharatmala project is aimed at improving connectivity in border areas including the coastal boundary. Rajasthan will be the biggest beneficiary of this mammoth initiative with 1,500km of roads falling under this scheme. The State Government is actively supporting the project.
At the event, Shri Gadkari and Smt Raje also launched the Resurgent Rajasthan mobile app, which provides an overview of the advantages, investment opportunities and enabling policies the State offers to investors. The app also provides the latest news on Rajasthan.
