Batch of 1996 honour their Batchmate at the National War Memorial
PUNE: The batch mates of the National Defence Academy, Pune recently organized a remembrance and homage ceremony for their batchmate, the Late Captain Shailesh Rialch who was killed in action fighting against terrorists valiantly in 1999 in Kashmir Valley. He was from the 91st Course of Kilo Squadron, NDA Pune. He was Awarded the Sena Medal for Gallantry for displaying examplary courage in the face of the enemy.
On the eve of the 20th year of him passing away all of the remaining 21 batchmates alongwith their family members gathered at the National War Memorial, Delhi recently to honour the memory and bring alive the valiant and heroic stories of their buddy on the day of him being martyred 20 years ago.
Present at the occasion were proud parents and family of Late Captain Shailesh Rialch alongwith all other well-wishers and friends.
The Officers and family who honoured Late Captain Shailesh Rialch on his 20th Anniversary were batchmates and studied at the National Defence Academy, Pune and passed out in the year 1996. They were a total 22 people in their batch and out of 22, they lost 1 in Kargil.
