During a recent phone meeting, Chairman Kimberly Reed and the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Angola Vera Daves discussed how EXIM can help U.S. businesses export their goods and services to Angola and improve Angola’s private-sector-led growth. This meeting comes as a follow up to the $4 billion Memorandum of Understanding that EXIM entered into with Angola in 2019 to increase trade between the United States and Angola. EXIM fulfills the administration’s Prosper Africa initiative through supporting projects in Sub-Saharan Africa and maintaining these relationships.
