Chef Amit is the Executive Chef at Sheraton Hyderabad Hotel, Gachibowli. With over 13 years of experience in the hospitality industry, he brings with him passion, energy and expertise in the kitchen and F&B department.
Amit holds a diploma in Hotel & Catering Management from IIHM, Kolkata along with BBA in the Tourism and Hospitality industry from Vishwa Bharati Shantiniketan and a BA in International Hospitality Management from Queen Margaret University College, Edinburgh, UK.
He encompasses expertise in handling kitchen operations, achieving guest satisfaction and team management.
During the last 13 years, he has grown from being a Jr. Sous Chef-Chef In-charge to being the Executive Chef. He has previously honed his craft in kitchens such as Courtyard by Marriott at Mumbai International Airport, Courtyard by Marriott, The Taj Connemara and ITC Hotel Park Sheraton Towers in Chennai.
Amit believes in giving personalized attention to every guest and ensures guests visiting the hotel for special occasions are enthralled with the culinary arrangements made exclusively for them. He is a culinary contriver with the flair for designing and implementing innovative food techniques for excellence in terms of quality for guests.
Chef Amit has been presented with multiple awards and honours throughout his distinguished career. He has the recipient of Award of Culinary Excellence 2014 Marriott Asia Pacific Rising Star Chef Of the year and Hotelier of the Year – Executive Chef by Brands Academy 2015-16. He also holds a Gold Medal in Authentic Indian Regional Cuisine Contest organized by IFCA (Indian Federation of Culinary Association) at Chennai Trade Centre in Sep’08 in cleanliness and hygiene category
