Pune: As a part of Rohan Pate’s initiative to commemorate the occasion of exhibition match of women team in IPL today. The cricket playing young girls were given an opportunity to meet Chris where Chris explained the technique of grip (holding the bat) to the girls. Also, girls clarified some of their cricket related doubts with Gayle. All this happened today at Blades of Glory, a one of its kind cricket museum founded by Rohan Pate.
The Legendary batsman visited Blades of Glory second time. He handed over his special bat to Rohan Pate. This is the bat with which he scored a phenomenal 100 in the current IPL season. Along with the bat he also handed over his Kings XI Punjab jersey to be added to the collection of Blades of Glory museum.
On commenting on the query about Indian cricketers not playing in leagues other than IPL he said, there is a lot of talent in India and I would love to see Indians play in other leagues too.
Responding on the concern regarding less number of women playing cricket he mentioned, we should make more awareness about ladies cricket. So that ladies cricket improves.
When further asked a question on who shall bag this years IPL season, he mentioned that best four teams are qualified. So it is very difficult for me to predict whom to win the cup.
Cricket is a game which teaches you a lot many things in life said Gayle. Chris being a great fan of Ronaldo he exclaimed, for Ronaldo anything is possible when it comes to him to win the upcoming world cup.
