3-day `Datta Jayanti Mahotsav’ to kick off today
Union, state ministers, M’rashtra CM, leaders,
Bollywood, sports celebrities to grace the occasion
Indore: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will be conferred with this year’s prestigious `Suryoday Manavta Sewa Samman’ award by spiritual leader Bhaiyyuji Maharaj’s Shree Sadguru Datta Dharmik Evam Parmarthik Trust for his exceptional contributions towards bringing about qualitative changes in the lives of the common people, the poor and downtrodden through politics and welfare schemes of the state government.
The award will be presented to him by Bihar Governor Ramnath Kovid, RSS general secretary Bhaiyyaji Joshi, Union rural development minister Narendra Singh Tomar in presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and galaxy of union, state ministers, social workers, dignitaries from media, sports and film fraternities at a glittering ceremony on December 13 at Laabh Ganga garden at 7 pm on the second day of the annual Datta Jayanti Mahotsav.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan would be 6th recipient of this prestigious `Suryoday Manavta Sewa Samman’ award. Earlier, this award had been conferred upon noted senior social workers Anna Hazare, Dr Prakash Amte, Dr Abhay Bung, senior advocate Ujjwal Nigam and senior journalist Prabal Prataap Singh respectively.
Shree Sadguru Datta Dharmik Evam Paarmarthik Trust trustee Tushaar Patil informed that among prominent dignitaries to grace the occasion include Union rural development minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Minister of state for defense Dr Subhash Bhamre, Union external affairs minister (Independent charge) Gen V K Singh, Madhya Pradesh Transport minister Bhupendra Singh, BJP MP and party’s national spokesperson Shahnawaaz Hussain, BCCI president Anuraag Thaakur, Higher Education minister Jaibhaan Singh Pawaiyaa, Madhya Pradesh tourism minister Surendra Patwa, Maharashtra state president of the Nationalist Congress Party, Sunil Tatkare, senior social workers Vishwambhar Choudhary, Kanubhai Tailor, noted film actors Vivek Oberoi, Ashutosh Rana, Vijay Patkar, Makrand Deshpande, Makrand Anaaspure, film director Madhur Bhandaarkar, cricketer Yusuf Pathaan, international wrestler Sushil Kumar among others.
Patil said the three-day — Datta Jayanti Mahotsav will kick off at Laabh Ganga garden on December 12, 2016 at 11 with lighting of traditional lamp. This would be followed by `Rashtriya Chetna Paryavaran Yagya’ which is basically aimed at conserving environment and purify the air. On the occasion 21,000 fruit bearing saplings would also be distributed among the people for its plantation. The `yagya’ would be followed by community prayer and discourse by spiritual leader Bhaiyyuji Maharaj.
Second session of the inaugural day would start from 5 pm with a mass oath taking ceremony for country’s unity and integrity. It would be followed by a symposium on the subject — `Role of Religion in Social Changes’ wherein seers from various religions including Dr Peer Sayyad Usmani (Ajmer), Bhante Sanghsheel (Mhow), Md Jilaani Kattal (New Delhi), M K Chisti (Gujarat), Gyaani Awtaar Singh (Nanded), Fransis Lopes (Mumbai), Gurdeep Singh (Indore) and Pt Ramchandra Sharma Vaidik will dwell upon the topic.
On the second day of Datta Jayanti Mahotsav on December 13, 2016, birth celebration of lord Dattatrey will be observed at Laabh Ganga garden at 5 am. It will be followed by `Datta Yagya’ which will basically aim at conserving environment and lessen impact of global warming. All the participants in the yagya will also be given a sapling each for plantation and environment conservation.
In the second session of the second day of Datta Jayanti Mahotsav, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will be conferred with `Suryoday Manavta Sewa Samman Puraskar’. Thereafter, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, chief guests, special guests will address the gathering. Award presentation ceremony would be followed by releasing of the annual supplement of magazine `Dharmaditya Times 2016, release of annual 2017 diary of the Trust and other books. In late evening noted Bollywood singer Anuradha Podwaal and gazal singer Jaswant Singh will regale the audience by presenting bhajans and gazals.
Patil said on third and last day of the Datta Jayanti Mahotsav on December 14, 2016, cultural programs would be presented by students of Suryoday Baal Grih Akola, Suryoday Dharteeputra Gyaan Prabodhini Taarnod and Paardhi Ashramshala Khamgaon. It will be followed by `Gurubandhu sammelan’ at 12.30 pm. At 1.30 pm Bhaiyyuji Maharaj will deliver discourse, while he will give `guru diksha’ to his disciples at 4 pm. On the same day, certificates would be given away to womenfolk undergoing professional training under women’s empowerment scheme and 20,000 blankets would be distributed among the poor people under `Suryoday Sheetritu Manavta Sewa Abhiyaan’. From 7 pm onward, musical program would be performed by noted singer Sakshi Holkar.
