Chicago IL: As part of the Consular outreach activities, a Consular Camp was organized by the Consulate General of India, Chicago on 4th December, 2016 at Hindu Temple of Central Indiana, Indianapolis, Indiana. The Consular camp was led by Mr. O.P. Meena, Consul [Passport]. The Executive Board of the temple made available all facilitates under one roof to facilitate smooth functioning of services to the people. Mr. Om Narla, MS, CHMM worked closely with the Consulate for organizing this Camp in a better way. During the camp, more than 250 consular services were provided to the Community residing in Indiana in a single day with the help of dozens of temple volunteers.
Dr. Ausaf Sayeed, Consul General, also came to meet the people during the Consular camp and answered their queries relating to different topics. The Board member of the Hindu Temple of Central Indiana felicitated the Consul General for his services to the community.
The Consulate will continue to strive to organize such Consular camps periodically in different cities of the US Mid-west to provide consular services to the Community at their doorsteps.
