“He is a true Master. So I really wanted to ask questions from to him. We all have similar questions in spirituality, some query or another, so I am hoping all our questions put together Dada has answered in this book. This is a spiritual journey of a Master and questions from a seeker,” said Ruzbeh Bharucha.
The conversations were over. The lines went into print. The book was launched. The eager readers were moved. And at the Press Conference with Dada J.P. Vaswani, a press reporter asked him,”What was the one truth he realized upon his conversations with the Master.” The author mulled over and said, “I am a Sai Baba of Shirdi worshipper and I always believe that I was doing a reasonable job as a disciple. After I met Dada right from the first day I realized under what illusion I was in. That is why I named the book ‘Perfect Disciple, Reluctant Master’ because he never comes across as a Master. He has always come across as Sadhu Vaswani’s disciple. And I think that is the most humbling and beautiful thing I have learnt.”
The 288 pages book, ‘Conversations with the Master: Perfect Disciple, Reluctant Master’ is priced at Rs.299 and available at Amazon, Flipkart and in retail book stores. The Kindle version is also available.
The book has been released by Penguin India – that says – ‘In this book, Dada Vaswani shares his innermost thoughts and ideals with Ruzbeh Bharucha….Their discussions, punctuated by Dada’s trademark sense of humour, are filled with laughter and joy and yet, within them, lie ancient truths and the wisdom of life.’
Added Ruzbeh, “I interviewed Dada over a period of a few months. I had a great time talking to Dada. Dada and I shared a lot of laughs. He is one of the wittiest and humorous people whom I have met and I am a Zoroastrian, trust me, I have met my share of humorous and witty folks in my life and Dada stands tall even here.”
Ruzbeh N. Bharucha is one of the most influential spiritual writers. He is the acclaimed author of the Fakir trilogy and author of fourteen published books and a documentary filmmaker. His documentary films – Yamuna Gently Weeps, I Believe I Can Fly and Sehat Wings Of Freedom were screened at the Asian Film Festival Pune.
A reader of the book, Bindiya Thapliyal wrote in from Delhi, “Ruzbeh Bharucha’s books are not the kinds one would want to race through. The same is the case with this latest book. It is meant to be savoured line by line. Therefore, even though i have read only the first fifty pages or so, it is had taken me to another level. The reason for this is that the book packs in wisdom of not only Dada Vaswani as you would assume from the cover, but also gathers wisdom from other masters like Maharshi Ramana, Avtaar Meher Baba and others. Stories from Dada Vawani’s precious life have been thrown in liberally which makes it a solid book. Last but not the least, Ruzbeh’s candid humour appeals as always. Like he has said several times even in his previous book ‘The Perfect Ones’, ‘enough of my rambling’. I wish to tell him it is the rambling that is so endearing! And we wish to read more of it. For Ruzbeh’s fans this book is definitely a must buy. And for those who don’t know him and are on the path, I would like to say that you are missing something. I will finish the book at my own slow pace but it is a winner all along, of this I am certain.”
