Pune, February 05, 2019: The Deccan-Model Colony ward (Ward number 14) of PMC has stood first in the sanitation survey conducted in the city. The sanitary workers who fetched this victory through their good work were felicitated by the Corporator Siddharth Shirole in an event organized today in the ward.
I.S. Inamdar, Senior Health Inspector, and other dignitaries were present for the felicitation for 200 sanitation workers.
Shirole said, ‘‘The sanitation survey was based on 13 different norms such as garbage collection, segregation, sanitation in slum areas, daily sweeping activity on roads, availability, and cleanliness of public toilets etc. In each of these tasks, the ground level sanitation workers played a huge role and they deserve applauds.’’
