Craft lovers of Pune, starving for the original culture expressed in India’s crafts will get an opportunity to witness an exciting and vibrant collection of arts crafts and textiles from all over India, sold directly by their makers at The Monalisa Kalagram, Next to Blossom Boulevard Building, End of South Main Road, Koregaon Park, Pune.
The Dastkari Haat crafts bazaar promises to be a very festive, colorful event, full of innovative and newly designed crafts. Crafts persons from all over India will demonstrate their craft skills. There will be specially designed decor and daily performances of folk culture shows.
The Dastkari Haat Samiti is very pleased to bring its best crafts people to Pune to show new developments and designs in crafts, and create a happy ambience at The Monalisa Kalagram
The Samiti will also have its own stall selling its exclusive artistic stationery, maps, and craft books.
The public will see many new and exciting products developed out of Madhubani Art, wood and textiles, Gond Art, bead jewellery, Kantha embroidery from West Bengal, Block prints, embroidery & weaving from Rajasthan, Chanderi & Maheshwari from Madhya Pradesh, Banarasi weaves & chiken embroidery from Uttar Pradesh, ceramics & pottery from Rajasthan & Uttar Pradesh, Linen sarees from West Bengal, silver jewellery Orissa
