Mumbai: Dena Bank has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mahila Arthik VIkas Mahamandal (MAVIM) for financing to Women Self Help Groups identified by MAVIM. As per the MoU, MAVIM will co-ordinate with the Dena Bank and Community Managed Resource Centres (CMRCs) to meet all the operational and implementation requirement of Bank, SHGs and CMRCs and act as business facilitator.
Mr. K C Chhipa, General Manager (PS & RRB, Retail & MSME) signed the MoU on behalf of Dena Bank while MAVIM was represented by Smt. Kusum Balsaraf, Acting Vice Chairman & Managing Director.
Initially, Dena Bank will implement the scheme in Nashik, Nandurbar, Jalgaon, Dhule, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Satara, Pune, Sangali, Ahmednagar Parbhani and Jalna Districts of Maharashtra on pilot basis. MAVIM will organize the poor people to form women SHGs, imparting financial literacy training and guiding them to mobilize their saving, setting up linkages between the groups and the Bank.
