PUNE: Tejas Gokhale has organized a unique exhibition called ‘Dev Beev’, under his initiative ‘Khalbatta’, which will present illustrations of various Gods in Pune and interesting stories behind their names.
The exhibition will be open to the public free of cost on Saturday, November 27, and Sunday, November 28 at Art2Day Gallery on Bhandarkar Road from 10.30 am to 8.30 pm. The exhibition will be inaugurated in the presence of a well-known interviewer, Sudhir Gadgil.
Tejas Gokhale who has started his ‘Khalbatta’ initiative with the intention of popularizing the Marathi language said, “The city of Pune has a long and vivid history. Therefore, the temples here are equally old and hold the unique names of the Gods. We are organizing this exhibition with the aim of conveying the interesting stories behind the names of these Gods in Marathi to the new generation. We will present interesting stories in just 10-12 sentences without using bombastic language on the 29 fanciful names of the Gods.”
In the exhibition, the interesting history behind the names like Jilbya, Bhangya, Pavatya, Khunya of that of Gods including Maruti, Ganapati, Krishna, Ram, Dutt will be presented through pictures and audiovisuals.
