Even though she was restricted to her wheelchair and crutches, popular TV actress Divyanka Tripathi who plays the role of Ishita Bhalla on Yeh Hai Mohabbatein was quite in demand at the 15 year celebrations of the Star Parivaar Awards’15.
The awards function had Divyanka being a part of various performances for which she had to always be on stage shooting or rehearsing. And while the actress was away, her vanity van is said to have been left unattended when someone sneaked in and stole all the jewellery lying there.
Says Divyanka, “Oh, it was just so bad. Firstly, I was restricted to my crutches so I couldn’t do much. I was shocked when I got to know that my jewellery is gone. I didn’t make it a big deal because of the awards function, but now that I have found, it is such a relief. I am extremely thankful to the production people who helped me get it back. It was found in some other artist’s vanity so I’m guessing it was a case of mistaken identity or something.”
