The current edition of Ghantas has sold 12,000+ tickets across 12 cities in just over a month.
By June ’15, it will have sold 15,000 tickets across 15 cities including Dubai, Muscat and Singapore.
With over 1 million views on YouTube, The Ghantas is a very popular online entity. The turnout for most of The Ghantas shows is anything between 500 – 1200 people, depending on the city, with an average ticket price of Rs. 750.
Currently, the show is touring across 15 cities in 2 months: Mumbai (2), Delhi, Gurgaon, Bangalore, Kochi, Pune, Mysore, Navi Mumbai, Baroda, Ahmedabad and Chennai and others. The show features awards that include conventional categories such as Worst Film, Worst Actor, Worst Director and also fun categories like WTF! Was That, Worst Song, Anything But Sexy and others.While standup comedy dominates the evening, the show also features awards and three song spoofs on the worst films of 2014.
The final show will be up on simultaneously on The Ghantas and East India Comedy’s YouTube page, which with over 1,30,000 subscribers and over 10 million views is one of the biggest comedy channels in India.
