Pune: Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd. (KOEL), one of the leading manufacturers of Diesel Engines and Generating sets in India has been awarded with the venerated “Star Performer Award” from EEPC India for the Seventh consecutive year in a row. This is a rare feat in itself as very few companies have been awarded in the same category and that too consecutively. Every year this prestigious award is bestowed to eminent companies in various fields for their prodigious performance in their respective spheres by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.
This year’s award function was held at Mumbai the state capital of Maharashtra where over300 eminent personalities, which included CMDs, CEO’s, Directors, and other senior officials from several renowned organizations from the region participated.
The award was handed over by Hon’ble Union Minister for Railways- Shri Suresh Prabhuto Mr. R.R. Deshpande, Jt. Managing Director and Mr. Milind M. Panadare, Senior General Manager-International Business, KOEL.
Kirloskar Oil Engines was chosen out of a field of several top Indian exporters within the region in the category of Star Performance- Electric Motors, Generators & Transformers, and Parts- Large Enterprise for its outstanding Export Performance during the year 2013-2014.
Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited have an ambitious vision for Exports. Currently they have their offices and representatives in various regions where they also have a strong global distribution network. During the said year because of prior planning and judiciously anticipating market conditions Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited was not only able to sustain but enhance its exports and profitability in spite of adverse market conditions.
Speaking after the function Mr. R.R. Deshpande, expressed his satisfaction on being conferred with the award. He said that “Continuous and proactive planning and strategic measures have made us one of the biggest and most sought after engineering solution providers globally. Being awarded for the seventh consecutive time shows our commitment and the overwhelming acceptance of our products and services amongst our valuable customers in all the regions we operate. It also reinforces that we are on the right track of our Vision in the larger perspective.”
Also present on the occasion were Mr. Anupam Shah, Chairman EEPC India, Mr. Pankaj Chadha, Regional Chairman (WR), Mr. Rajat Srivastava, Exe. Dir EEPC India, several distinguished dignitaries and representatives from various engineering companies.
