Pune: Embassy Office Parks, the joint venture of Embassy Group and Blackstone, today announced the inauguration of Mercedes – Benz Research and Development India’s first dedicated research and development facility in Pune at Embassy TechZone.
Mercedes – Benz Research and Development India inked a deal with Embassy Office Parks for 46,000 sq.ft. of space in Embassy TechZone with an option for an additional 20,000 sq.ft. The space was delivered with fit outs to Mercedes – Benz Research and Development India in just 48 days.
The 5 year lease will strengthen an 8 year long partnership between the Embassy Group and Daimler AG which fully owns Mercedes – Benz India. This will be Mercedes – Benz Research and Development India’s first office outside Bangalore.
Commenting on the development, Mike Holland, CEO, Embassy Office Parks remarked, “We are delighted to extend our existing relationship with Mercedes – Benz Research and Development India as they open their first office in Pune. Pune is emerging as a very attractive destination for multinational corporations and Embassy TechZone is ideally positioned to meet this demand.”
Embassy TechZone, Pune has been conceptualised as one of Pune’s finest IT business parks. It spans a total area of 68 acres – 50 acres offering SEZ facilities and the rest of the development housing non-SEZ, IT activities.
