Pune: The 2nd Rising International Short Film Festival will be held on October 26 & 27 at National Film Archives, Kothrud in the presence of many dignitaries. The RISFF focuses on documentaries and short films mainly and the aim of the festival is to highlight and encourage women film makers across the world. The festival will be open for all and free of cost.
Last year festival had received entries from Pune, Thane, Mumbai, Amaravati, Solapur, Ahamadnagar, Pandharpur, Belgaum, Goa, Bangluru, Telangana, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, Keral, Delhi, Uttarpradesh, Waranasi, Punjab, Kolkatta, Madhya Pradesh, Bangal, Dhakka and entries for International film category were from Argentina, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Germany, France, London, Macedonia, Singapore, Spain & U.K.
Submissions are now being accepted for the 2016 edition of the festival. Call for entries are sought from across the world in 4 Competitive divisions: Short Film, Documentary, Women Filmmaker’s Section and International Film.
All Shorts films / documentaries shot on film or Video (Analog / Digital format) within a running duration of 1.30 Min to 35 minutes will be eligible for the festival.
This year entries will be accepted only through courier so Interested candidates have been requested to send their entries to A-201, 2nd Floor, above Bank Of India, Shree Complex, N.D.A. Road, Shivane- Uttamnagar, Pune 411023, Maharashtra.
Please note, Regular Submission Last Date- 31st August 2016, Regular Entry Fee Rs.300/- Late Submission Date- 21st September 2016, Late Entry Fee Rs.500/-
Like previous festival, this year also additional awards will be given in specific categories for Technical and Acting .The winners will be received Memento, Certificate and the Cash Prize during the closing ceremony. The festival is organized by Vijayalaxmi Film Productions and coordinated by Vijayalaxmi Jadhav and Atul Tapkir.
