Mumbai: In a bid to create awareness about the level of air pollution in India, Eureka Forbes, India’s leading health and hygiene company has introduced first-of-its-kind Aeroguard air quality monitoring system in India. This ground-breaking innovation will enable consumers to discover in real time the air quality in one’s home and help them take precautionary measures to fight new-age air borne diseases.
According to findings of the Global Burden of Disease report, indoor air pollution has become the second largest killer in India. A lot of us end up spending up to 90% of our time indoors. Given the amount of time we spend inside our homes and offices, it’s critical that the quality of air we breathe is of the highest quality. While certain pollutants like smoke, dust, paint, and animal dander can be easily identified, others like bacteria, fungi, mold spores, pollen, viruses, etc. are difficult to see with the naked eye.
To address this issue, Eureka Forbes has introduced this patented monitoring device which measures the concentration of small and large particles and VOC’s.The unique technology in the device gives real time update on the level of pollution in the air and ranks it as ‘good’, ‘fair’, ‘poor’ and ‘very poor’, thereby measuring the risk of pollution to human health.
This product is currently not on sale but is available to customers who want to test air quality within their homes and offices through a Eureka Forbes’ representative. In addition, the representative will also give recommendations on determining the right method of air purification.
Talking about this initiative, Mr. Marzin R. Shroff, CEO- Direct Sales and Senior VP, Marketing, Eureka Forbes Limited shares, “India’s struggles with air pollution is being spoken about on a daily basis. We at Eureka Forbes believe that safe air is the right of every citizen. Our commitment lies in our efforts to constantly innovate to provide technologically advanced products and services to our customers. We believe that this unique air quality monitoring device will make people notice the air around them and take precautionary measures before it becomes a grave threat.”
In an endeavour to create further awareness on the deteriorating indoor air quality, Eureka Forbes has also established and will soon launch the Aeroguard Foundation, a platform which will witness eminent doctors from the medical fraternity come together to address the problems associated with poor air quality. The initiative will further educate and inform people about the crippling problems associated with outdoor and indoor air pollution and measures that can be taken to curb the situation.
