Pune, February 06, 2019: Zomato, India’s favourite food app brings the magnificent Zomaland, a first-of-its-kind food carnival to Pune on February 9th and 10th at Royal Palms, Koregaon Park.
With food for every palate, music for every ear, and games for all ages, Zomaland will be an enjoyable experience for everyone in your family. The carnival marks Zomato’s entry into the space of large-scale experiential events and will bring together top-rated eateries from across the city, a stellar line-up of music artists, India’s top comedians, stunning attractions, a giant Ferris wheel and exciting carnival games, all under one roof.
Zomaland will have an incredible line-up of entertainment with performances by some of the biggest artists in the industry including the bass raja of India Nucleya, Ritviz of ‘Udd Gaye’ fame, renowned Hindi rock band The Local Train, popular indie-bandWhen Chai Met Toast, top comedians like Varun Thakur, Kunal Kamra & Aishwarya Mohanraj. Zomaland will host 50+ eateries placed in five curated zones appealing to diverse palates — Flavours of India, Oriental Trail, American Avenue, European Eateries and Dessert District — with some of the top restaurants, namely, Malaka Spice, Wicked China, Mughlai Matka, Knight Riders, Rocomamas, Classic Coffee Rock Co. , L’dorado, Subway, Neopolitan Pizza, Plunge, Whattawaffle, 99 Pancakes, and Third Wave Coffee Roasters.
Thrilled about the initial reaction for Zomaland from Pune, Chaitanya Mathur, Global Head, Zomato Live said, “With Zomaland, we are bringing every aspect of Zomato to life in the form of a carnival, at a scale never attempted before. It will be the first entertainment carnival with back to back live performances, cuisine based food zones and larger than life attractions. Zomaland has received an overwhelming response – over 15000 tickets sold already and we can’t wait to present it to everyone in Pune.”
Zomato entered the Pune market in 2011 as a restaurant search and discovery platform and has been helping users make informed food choices since then. It has been at the forefront of building affordability, accessibility and convenience around food with all its services – online ordering, food delivery, Zomato Self Pickup, Table Reservation and subscription programs like Zomato Gold and Piggybank.
“Pune plays a pivotal role in Zomato’s overall vision of ‘better food for more people’. Our growth in the region is a testimony to the trust and confidence of our users and restaurants community. We are already providing a high-quality breadth of services and have significant traffic for all of them. With Zomaland, we are combining our services and pairing them with entertainment for an unforgettable experience”, added Chaitanya Mathur.
The gala Zomaland carnival debuted in the capital city in January and was attended by 35000+ people. After Pune, it will tour to Bangalore between 1-3 March.
