FIA’s to be celebrate Indian independence day, a mega event on Aug 16th at Boombers Stadium Schaumburg

Chicago IL: Last week a press conference was held by Federation of Indian Associations FIA at Maharaja Restaurant, Rosemont. Event was attended by more than 70 community leaders and business owners.

Sunil Shah, Founder President of FIA, Welcomed everyone and said “This would be a Mega event never before seen and everyone is invited to celebrate and recognize 69th Indian Independence Day Event with Live music concert from Bappi Lahiri’s rendering of Bollywood songs”. He said this event has been in planning for past 6 months and is a culmination of hard work of all the FIA Boards members including Dhitu Bhagwakar, Mukesh Shah, Khaja Moinuddin, Mona Bhalla, Shital Daftari, Payal Shah, Ali Khan, Sunny Kular and others.

Onkar Singh Sangha, current President FIA, introduced the board members and Thanked all the board members for their hard work in organizing such a mega event. He further mentioned that this event is for all ages from Kids to Seniors and event is organized in such way that all ages can enjoy till the end. There would games, rides for Kids, Indian Food and Drinks and major cultural programs including fashion show.

Neil Khot, Vice President FIA, Thanked all the major sponsors, starting with Mafat Patel, Rakesh Patel and Swetal Patel of Patel Bros, Manny Gandhi of Power Plant Services , Ketu Amin of Vinakom Inc, Neal Patel of Medstar Labs, Santosh Kumar of MAFS and other major sponsors such as Wintrust Bank , Air India, Country Financials and Motor Werks. He mentioned further that various political leaders from Lt Governor, State Reps, Senators, and Mayors would be attending the event and show their support to the Indian Community and India’s Independence Day.

Hitesh Gandhi , Treasurer of FIA, Welcomed all the sponsors and mentioned about different tickets levels, such a Premium Ticket for $ 12 which allows for special seating and chance to win a round trip to India via Air India, Regular Tickets for $ 8 which allowed a chance to win concert tickets and restaurant gift cards. Moon Khan, Vice President of FIA, concluded the event by Thanking everyone and requesting everyone spread the word. He said, Show your patriotism by attending this event of Flag Hoisting and Indian Mega Event. The Event will end with dazzling fireworks.

He said the mega even is expected to attract an expected crowd of 5,000; the Indian Independence Day Festival will kick off at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, at Boomers Stadium, 1999 S. Springinsguth Road in Schaumburg.
