Mumbai: A huge Free Health Checkups and Blood Donation Camp which was organised at Children Welfare Centre High School,Yari Road, Andheri(W), Mumbai-61 on 14th April, 2016 by NGO Ekata Manch and Children Welfare Centre High School concluded successfully. There were about 150 doctor’s team and checkup of more than two thousand different types of patients was done.Free eye check-up and distribution of free Spectacles, free health checkup which included blood, sugar tests, child and women-related illness, dental check, skin, ear, nose, throat, electrocardiography, cancer test, etc was organized along with blood donation camp.
NGO Ekata Manch’s President Mr. Ajay Kaul said, “We have been organizing this camp from past eight years because eight years ago, on this day a family from Nepal with a child came here for medical help and he had cancer. The treatment lasted for about one year .He was such a sweet boy that everyone loved him and for me he was like my child but, unfortunately he died on April 14, eight years ago. Hence, we started organizing this camp every year in his memory so that people come to know about their diseases on time and the treatment can be started at right time. Our main concern is everyone’s health and providing good health services to the people.”
Children Welfare Centre High School Activity Chairman Mr.Prashant Kashid said, “We do not organize a normal usual camp instead we organize a huge camp which includes checkup of various diseases so that more and more people can gain benefit at no cost.”
Mr. Prakash Kulkarni (Editor of Navshakti), Corporator Shailesh Phanse, Yakub Memon, Devendra (Bala) Amberkar, Ajay Kaul and Prashant Kashid graced the medical camp with their presence.
