Pune: The Tata Crucible Corporate Quiz is back to engage young corporate minds in India with its edge-of-the-seat quizzing and stimulating formats. Travelling across 25 cities in India this year, the quiz concluded its Pune regional round today that witnessed participation from 78, battling it out for their place in the Zone 3 finals that will be held in Mumbai in October 2015.
Gaurav Parab and Mehul Jain from Infosys emerged victorious after defeating some of the smartest teams from the city. Giving the winners tough competition were Raghav Saxena and Arindam Pal of Tata Motors who were declared as the runners-up of the quiz. Ace quizmaster Giri Balasubramaniam a.k.a. Pickbrain. awarded the prize money of Rs.75,000/- * to the winning team and Rs.35,000/-* to the runners-up. The winners of the national final will receive a grand prize of Rs.500,000/-* along with the coveted Tata Crucible Trophy. As a special prize this year, the national winners will also receive a brand new Tata Bolt from Tata Motors.
Besides the winners and runners-up, the other four teams that qualified in the top 6 included Radha Kura and Anand Krishnan of ZS Associates, Arun Chandra and Vikram Chauhan of Tata Motors, Saurabh Diwan and Ashis Behera of Barclays and K. Chetan and Pradeep Kudva of Mahindra and Mahindra. The quiz was hosted by ace quizmaster Giri Balasubramaniam a.k.a. Pickbrain.
The city regional rounds will be followed by zonal finals, which will be organized in New Delhi (Zone 1), Kolkata (Zone 2), Mumbai (Zone 3) and Bengaluru (Zone 4). The top two teams from each zone will battle it out for the Tata Crucible Corporate Quiz 2015 title at the National Finals to be held in Mumbai in October.

After Pune, the quiz will move on to other cities that include Ahmedabad (Sept 18), Lucknow (Sept 19), Chennai (Sep 20), Bhubaneswar (Sept 23), Chandigarh (Sept 25), Gurgaon (Sept 26), Delhi (Sep 27), Guwahati (Sep 28), Goa (Sept 30), Jamshedpur (Oct 02), Ranchi (Oct 03), Kolkata (Oct 04), Thiruvananthapuram (Oct 07), Kochi (Oct 08), Bangalore (Oct 10), Mumbai (Oct 11).
Zonal finals will be organized in New Delhi (Zone 1), Kolkata (Zone 2), Mumbai (Zone 3) and Bengaluru (Zone 4).
