Pune: City based cricket museum ‘Blades of Glory has added one more feature in its cap. Rohan Pate set up this museum in 2012 in order to pay tribute to the game of cricket and was inaugurated by Master Blaster Sachin Tendulakr himself. This privately-owned museum probably is the biggest one in the world with over 30000 items in its collection and has special sections dedicated to cricketing legends like Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli. It may be noted that Virat personally visited the museum to inaugurate the special section dedicated to him.
The museum houses cricketing stuff of plenty of cricket players from India and abroad. Part from Sachin and Virat, many Indian and international cricketers have visited the museum and have appreciated the collection of the museum. Some of them include Sir Vivian Richards, Clive Lloyd, Kapil Dev, Rahul Dravid, M. Muralitharan, Brett Lee, Chris Gayle, Wasim Akram, Virendra Sehwag. National Cricket teams of Australia and England also made it a point to visit the museum when they came to Pune to play international matches against India .
“This is yet another recognition for the museum, which was appreciated and applauded by many international and legendary cricketers and cricket fans,” said Rohan Pate.
The museum is located on 3rd Floor, Govind Gaurav Apartment “C”, Swanand Society Lane 1,Sahakar Nagar 2, Pune.
