The video features the last song – Gurus of Peace sung by the legendary artist along with Grammy winner A. R. Rahman
Global music giant, Sony Music, in collaboration with NID released a visual treat for Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khans’ fans on his 69th birth anniversary. This visually stunning animated music video brings the song alive and also is the best accessory to such a powerful song, as the song did not have a video till now. This song that will be featured in the video is the last song sung by him that also features Grammy winner A. R. Rahman, called – Gurus of Peace.
Animation technique used is a 2D digital hand-drawn technique, with each frame being hand drawn using a tablet, roughly amounting to over 3000 frames. All of this was created as a 6 month graduation project by Ms Shanthala Setty, student at NID Ahmedabad under the guidance of Professor Sekhar Mukherjee, Head Animation Faculty.
