Environment-Friendly Bappa From Handmade Paper Institute
PUNE: Within a year of reopening, Pune Handmade Papers has made a refreshing comeback and has constantly been reinventing the importance of handcrafted and sustainability. Keeping in line with the tradition of promoting the artisans from Pen, renowned for their Ganesha idols, this year Pune Handmade Papers is offering a large variety of idols available in collections of Shrimanth Dagadusheth, Mysoree, Padmasan, Peshwai, Chaurang and Shivrekar in various sizes in beautiful colour schemes.
Interestingly, these Ganesh idols have been made from a unique mixture of ‘shaadhumathi’ and paper pulp making them more studier and totally environment safe.
The Handmade Papers Institute in Pune has maintained its unique position for over 80 years and within a year of reopening, it is now ready to preserve the same heritage with new vigor.
The eco-friendly Ganesha idols have been made based on the principles of handicrafts, sustainability, and reuse, and all the rules of hygiene and safety are followed while making and selling these idols. Considering the safety of the customers, the customers will be able to connect through a video call to dispel their doubts while choosing an idol. In addition to this, the facility of home-delivery has also been made available between August 15-20, while interested customers can also visit the store at Shivajinagar to buy their favorite idols.
Besides the idols, eco-friendly, attractive, durable, and reusable makhars are also available at the institute along with other eco-friendly decorative materials.
