The St. Regis Mumbai announces the appointment of Chef Himanshu Taneja as Director of Culinary. He brings with him 17 years of excellence to The St. Regis Mumbai.
Taneja’s career spans working with some of the leading Indian and International Hotel chains in the country. Most recently Taneja was with JW Marriott Juhu as Executive Chef overseeing all operations of the culinary team and helming successful venue launches of the hotel. An alumnus of IHM, Trivandrum, Taneja’s passion for the world of cuisine, his innate knowledge of ingredients and his ability to understand the latest global food trends has paved his path to success. In his new role Taneja will lead the dynamic culinary team of The St. Regis Mumbai.
Taneja has been well recognized for his talent and has a plethora of awards under his belt. Some of the most prominent ones are Chef of the Year by Hotelier India Awards 2016, Chef of the Year by Eazy Diner Foodie Awards 2016, Global Executive Chef of the Year by JW Brand 2015 and Asia Pacific Chef of the year 2015.
An enthusiastic photographer, Taneja enjoys spending time with his family, loves music and traveling and exploring new destinations.
